I spent six nights at the Vogelstrand Guesthouse and, while I can't say
I have a single complaint, I have many compliments. The location, while a few
km from the center of town, offered a nice refuge to which you could retreat to
either collect your thoughts or plan your next adventure in the area. Owners
Hannelie and Stephen go out of their way to engage you in thoughtful
conversation to find out just exactly what you're looking for in the Swakop
region and Namibia as a whole. They are a wealth of knowledge and a resource as
valuable as any guidebook I've come across.
This dedication carries over the the accommodations as well, with good parking, clean, spacious rooms, and various breakfast choices to start your day. Also a good complimentary WiFi connection. Overall a great value and in my eyes perfect for the traveller with an open mind and a flexible agenda. It helped tie together what came to be a perfect vacation.
