“No complaints, only praises.”

I spent six nights at the Vogelstrand Guesthouse and, while I can't say I have a single complaint, I have many compliments. The location, while a few km from the center of town, offered a nice refuge to which you could retreat to either collect your thoughts or plan your next adventure in the area. Owners Hannelie and Stephen go out of their way to engage you in thoughtful conversation to find out just exactly what you're looking for in the Swakop region and Namibia as a whole. They are a wealth of knowledge and a resource as valuable as any guidebook I've come across.

This dedication carries over the the accommodations as well, with good parking, clean, spacious rooms, and various breakfast choices to start your day. Also a good complimentary WiFi connection. Overall a great value and in my eyes perfect for the traveller with an open mind and a flexible agenda. It helped tie together what came to be a perfect vacation.

“Comfortable, clean, modern....”

Reviewed October 12, 2012 NEW

Found this very easily with a simple google map of Swakopmund and well sign posted near the guest house. And what a very pleasant place it is. Bright, helpful and informative greeting set the standard for service throughout our short stay. A modern bright airy building with immaculately clean and comfortable rooms. All facilities, hairdryer, tea and coffee making etc and speedy wifi. Secure parking through the electronic main gate. We were given the honeymoon suite which consisted of two bedroom, the room also having a balcony with table and chairs so you could have an outside view over this part of Swakopmund. Breakfast is served in the dining room, usual buffet choice for juice, tea, coffee, cereal and bread with eggs and bacon cooked to your choice. All very nice. Tug in town and Kucki’s pub can be recommended. And although it is 5 minutes drive into town, if it’s just a beach walk you want, that is easily accessible a couple of minutes away.
